TomTom will supply navigation systems to Volvo Cars for the automaker's infotainment systems starting in 2019, the supplier announced.
Volvo will add TomTom's embedded and cloud-based components to tis SPA and CMA platforms that support larger and smaller vehicles respectively. TomTom will provide automotive-grade digital NDS Maps that deliver incremental real-time map updates, TomTom's navigation software NavKit, TomTom Traffic, and other travel-related services.
Other tools include Online Search that gives remote access to an up-to-date and complete set of addresses and POIs in over 120 countries and NavCloud that enables synching and sharing across devices.
