Jaguar Land Rover is recalling more than 29,000 vehicles in the 2017 and 2018 model years so dealers can address malfunctioning instrument clusters, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The automaker is issuing two separate recalls, the largest of which covers nearly 22,000 2017 Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SUVs. The second recall involves more than 7,000 2017-2018 Jaguar XF and F-Pace vehicles, 2016-2017 XJ vehicles, and 2018 XE vehicles.

The instrument clusters in these luxury cars may intermittently go blank, NHTSA said, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will update the vehicle software to fix the problem. There will be no charge for this service.

Vehicle owners can reach Jaguar customer service at (800) 452-4827. The number for the Jaguar recall is H056. Land Rover customer service can be reached at (800) 637-6837. The number for the Land Rover recall is N124.
