Renewable Energy Group, Inc. unveiled a new renewable fuel blend that is a combination of biodiesel and renewable diesel and is California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved.
The company’s REG Ultra Clean Diesel is a patent-pending fuel made of a proprietary blend that reduces total hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide emissions by 15%, particulate matter emissions by 40%, and, emits less nitrogen oxides (NOx), according to Renewable Energy Group. REG Ultra Clean Diesel is CARB approved for year-round use throughout California under the Alternative Diesel Fuel Regulation.
The REG Ultra Clean Diesel has a blend that is 80% renewable diesel and 20% biodiesel.
The company made the announcement at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Long Beach, Calif.
