Scenes from Peterbilt's 'Pride & Class' truck show at Texas Motor Speedway

Peterbilt hosted a number of customers, media and others at Texas Motor Speedway last week for its "Pride & Class" truck show that coincided with the unveiling of the new Model 589, the successor to the 389.

The judged show, with more than 200 competing rigs, wrapped up with results as follows:

Rick McClerkin's antique-winning PeteThere were two Antique winners, including this beauty from Rick McClerkin of Roadway Antique Trucks. The other winners, Jake and Rosie Wheeler, spoke to personal history when Jake noted his father was always asked, "Why do you always drive them fancy Peterbilts?” His dad, Wheeler said, would answer the question this way: “Is there any other?," adding he "didn’t get A/C in it, because it was more noble to sweat than to look gawdy."Courtesy of Peterbilt
