Mazda is adding a few new features, including a standard rear-view camera on all trims, to its Mazda3 sedan for the 2016 model year, and has announced pricing for the vehicle.
The 2016 Mazda3 will get new standard equipment, including the rear-view camera, auto on/off headlights and rain-sensing windshield wipers, a moon roof, and auto-dimming mirror.
Mazda is offering two new optional packages, including the Preferred Equipment Package for the iSport trim and Popular Equipment Package to replace the Technology Package on the iTouring trim.
The Preferred Equipment Package includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and other features. The Popular Equipment Package includes dual-zone climate control and a Bose nine-speaker audio system.
The Mazda3, which was fully redesigned in 2014, will be offered in nine models for 2016. The iSport with 6-speed automatic transmission, which would be geared to fleets, would start at $19,715, a $1,507 increase over the 2015 model.
Mazda will offer the vehicle as the iSport, iTouring, iGrand Touring, sTouring, and sGrand Touring. Most models are available with either an automatic or manual transmission. The sTouring is available only with an automatic transmission.
