NAFA Begins Defining Institute & Expo’s New Three-Day Orientation

In 2019, NAFA’s Institute & Expo will become a three-day event: Monday, April 15, through Wednesday, April 17.

All sessions and the Expo will take place at the brand new Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Ky., and everything you’ve come to expect from the conference will be there.

The enhanced NAFA I&E schedule features:

  • A three-day event that retains the conference’s key attributes
  • A revitalized sessions agenda starting on Monday, rather than Tuesday
  • Modernized learning opportunities in concurrent sessions
  • Added features to the Expo that will increase value for attendees

NAFA’s Board of Directors has approved these enhancements to the Association’s annual conference to accommodate members’ needs, specifically to spend less time away from their jobs. In the coming months, NAFA will be building out the structure of the new I&E and setting it’s education and networking format.

“Year after year, the response to NAFA’s I&E has been very positive,” said Phillip E. Russo, CAE, NAFA’s CEO. “The one issue that persisted, however, was the difficulty members and attendees had with securing permission to be out of the office for nearly an entire week. Moving forward, NAFA will present a conference that maintains everything attendees want and need from I&E, but with a minimized time impact back at the office. This will offer tremendous value to the organizations that send representatives to I&E.”
