Pilot Flying J donating coffee refill proceeds to Wreaths Across America

Pilot Flying J locations are donating a portion of its proceeds, up to $25,000, from the sale of all PhilMor coffee refills on Veterans Day to Wreaths Across America.

Known for instilling the importance of remembering our fallen heroes, honoring those who serve and teaching children about the sacrifices made by veterans and their families to preserve our freedoms, Wreaths Across America coordinates veteran services and recognitions through a variety of programs. Wreaths Across America also organizes a week of events including international veteran’s tributes, ceremonies at State Houses and a week-long “Veteran’s Parade” between Maine and Virginia stopping along the way to spread the message.

“For Pilot Flying J, it’s both an honor and a responsibility to support the men and women of the U.S. armed forces for the sacrifices they’ve made and the hardships they’ve endured,” said Jim Haslam, Pilot Flying J founder and chairman. “As commuters, travelers and professional drivers look to kick start their journeys with a fresh cup of coffee this Veterans Day, they’ll be supporting a tremendous cause in the process.”

PhilMor travel coffee mugs come in 20 and 24 ounce sizes and fuel smart savings every time they are refilled. Once in-store, consumers can choose from up to seven different blends of coffee at one time, as well as a wide selection of creamers, toppings and syrups.

TravelCenters of America offering truck driver veterans free meal

TA and Petro Stopping Centers are offering truck driver veterans a complimentary meal (up to $15 value) on Veterans Day at any participating TA or Petro sit-down restaurant location across the U.S.

“We are looking forward once again to honoring and thanking the many truck drivers who are also military veterans,” said Tom O’Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters. “They served our country in the military and continue to do so in their current roles as professional drivers.”

Apex Capital helping military veterans start trucking company

Apex Capital is helping military veterans start a trucking company through its Apex Startup Program.

Throughout the month of November, to show appreciation to military veterans, the $435 administration fee for the program is being waived.

The Apex Startup Program assists with entity formation and helps people wanting to form their own trucking company by gathering all the necessary information, assisting with entity formation in their home state, completing and filing appropriate registration applications, and sending a Record Book.

Veterans will only pay the filing fees required to start a trucking company, which include formation documents with the Secretary of State in the home state (which varies state-to-state), FMCSA MC number ($300), and designation of process agents ($150).

Apex says once a veteran’s company is set up, he or she will receive access to Apex Capital’s factoring and value added services.

Veterans can call (844) 827-4522 or click here to get started with the program.
