A. No, fleets that have an AOBRD installed prior to the December 18, 2017, ELD Mandate deadline, will not have to upgrade them—yet. The ELD Mandate allows fleets that already have AOBRDs installed to use them for an additional two years, until December 16, 2019, when they will have to be upgraded to an ELD. Fleetmatics currently only offers an AOBRD solution, Fleetmatics LogBook, and plans to upgrade it through a seamless software update well before the December 2019 deadline.
